Hey guys! It is Aiko with Schwagirl. I am an American English pronunciation coach.

Welcome to my podcast “The Voice of English”

The purpose of this podcast is to encourage English learners and also English teachers. We all share tips and points of how we can improve our English and become better communicators.

In Episode 18, I invited Yukari Weber based in California.

Yukari is an English coach and her passion is to deliver practical English. Most of her Japanese clients have basic English skills, but they are having difficulties when it comes to real English. She supports them strategically to improve their English. That way they can connect with non-Japanese speakers beyond language and cultural difference. She is very grateful to be able to apply her experience and knowledge, and pass it onto her clients.

Here are my notes

  • Know that it takes time to learn a language
  • Listen to native speakers’ conversations
  • Don’t feel guilty because your English is not perfect
  • Observe and discover things
  • It is an adventure. Just enjoy! Studying with textbooks may make you feel safe, but you don’t have to feel safe. Get out of the textbook and explore in the real world.
